Once upon a time,

The Doctor and Donna happened to come across the TROLLS at various points during SGRUB, and wound up taking them away in the TARDIS, which screwed up the ALPHA TIMELINE, blasting the KIDS into EQUESTRIA where they befriended the MANE 6.

The TARDIS touches down somewhere in the UK, during season 6 of SUPERNATURAL.  SAM and DEAN get lost while looking for the bones of CROWELY.  Suddenly, they come across a buttload of TROLLS, including VAMPIRE Kanaya, and GHOST Aradia.

Being WINCHESTERS, they decided to hunt them, and SOLLUX was like ‘LOL No,’ and then CASTIEL showed up and was like ‘LOL No.’  And thus the fighting.

It was at that moment that JADE used her SPACE powers to poof everyone out of EQUESTRIA, and right into the middle of the BATTLE.  It is up to them to save the DAY.

Also, SHERLOCK and WATSON are investigating a completely unrelated matter.  They just happened upon the scene.
